Whiteboard Animations

Making a movie isn't as hard as you think, well you don't need all these big special cameras used to film people for films, you can simply create a smaller film using only a whiteboard, camera and pens. the process is actually quite demanding even tho it looks simple.

i suppose you couldn't really make a perfectly flowing movie but personally i like the jumpiness this brings to the animation.

using the stop motion or flip book technique, we had to create a clip or whatever you want to call it of someone/thing getting around a house. in are group we decided to create something which would give us a lot of detail like a jack in the box, which possibly wasn't the best idea because we started slowing moving things cm by cm, and keep rubbing them out the detail part became quite hard to contain, the time was against us and as we tried to make everything perfect it takes a time to create a perfect clip. another important point is to make sure that the camera and the white board do not move otherwise the hole picture moves slightly and can sometimes make it look wrong.

i realise if you are going to do an animation like this one you have to give yourself lots of time, then you can for fill the detail and perfect motion which everyone wants to obtain on these clips.
